When I think of bamboo, I think about the stalks of “lucky bamboo” that I have in my living room – growing strong, tall and brilliantly green, despite the fact that I only remember to fill the vase with water about every 3 months or so. Turns out the brilliant folks at Bamboosa are taking this fast-growing (renewable) resource and making the coziest damn baby clothes you’ll ever find (and that’s saying something).
Bamboo is a great choice when you’re looking for eco-friendly fabrics: It requires very little water and can survive drought conditions, (like my living room) as well as flooding. Bamboo’s natural anti-bacterial agents means it can be grown without pesticides or chemicals. Plus, it’s 100% biodegradable.
I’ve known many a baby to bask in the silky softness of a bamboo onsie and my friend Molly (a new mom) swears the Bamboosa hooded towels are “the best.” And considering how much research she does, I think that’s a killer endorsement.
