I’ve seen a lot of ads lately for those Belly Band things that help women wear their “regular” pants longer into pregnancy (and after delivery) … but I always thought it was kind of silly. Who would want to wear their jeans with their top button undone? Why not just buy new pants (that’s part of the fun right – getting new stuff?).
I get it now.
I currently have two pairs of jeans that fit my growing girth. With both of them hanging in the wind to dry, I was faced with a dilemma this morning: what to put on my bottom half. Too cold to wear the stretchy skirt. Too sloppy to wear yoga pants, again. I went for my old favorite Lucky’s with a low rise. I got ‘em on and buttoned no prob … but after sitting for 10 minutes, the top button came undone (by my own hand … the pressure was not so great to free a riveted button from its home, for crying out loud). Now, I am walking around the house with just the zipper up, constantly pulling up my jeans.
I might have to invest in a Belly Bandafter all.
